Wedding FAQ

How much do invitations and stationery cost?

Pricing depends on quantity, number of insert cards, size of pieces, paper type, embellishments, envelope printing, belly bands, etc. Lots of factors to consider, but if you let me know what you’re looking for I can provide a quote! P.S. All of my invitations are double sided to show off the artwork! In the meantime, here’s some general pricing based on my standard, heavyweight cardstock, and blank white envelopes:

COLLECTION

(over 25 existing designs!)

  • A 5×7 flat invitation & RSVP card (with blank white envelopes) starts at $3.50 per set, but is determined by quantity.

CUSTOM

(Custom designed for your specific style/theme!)

  • Custom watercolour artwork (to be used throughout all the stationery pieces) starts at $250 (determined by the complexity of the design) and you get to keep the original painting to frame!
  • A custom designed 5×7 flat invitation & RSVP card (with blank, white envelopes) starts at $5 per set (including the price of the original art), but is determined by quantity

Can you change the colours or fonts of an existing design?

In most cases, yes, I can change the colours and fonts of an existing design to match the look and feel of your event! Depending on the scope of the change, there will be a design fee added but that would be agreed upon first!

How much time does it take in total?

The timeline for stationery ranges depending on the complexity of the order (number of items, amount of customization, luxe paper options, etc.) Generally speaking, if you’re interested in one of my COLLECTION designs, it’s ideal to begin the process at least 4-6 weeks before you’d like the prints in your hands. That will allow for personalization, revisions, proofs and shipping. If you’d like a new, CUSTOM design, 8-12 weeks is ideal.

Do you assemble or address the invitations?

Envelope printing is a great option! I can have all of your guests’ addresses (along with your return address and an illustration from the design to make it pretty!) printed on the invitation and RSVP envelope, so all you need to do is stamp them! Assembly is not included in my pricing, but can be completed for an additional fee (determined by the amount of pieces). Hand-written addressing and calligraphy is also an added luxury option πŸ™‚

Can you design items other than wedding invitations?

Absolutely! I can design anything that can be printed, including custom maps, insert cards, belly bands, printed envelopes using the chosen artwork, menus, programs, placecards, table numbers, signage, and thank you cards! I can also design invitations for any event, such as engagement parties, bridal or baby showers, bachelorette parties, birthday parties. etc!
We also specialize in hand-lettering and would love to letter your favorite quote, song lyric or recipe for a one-of-a-kind piece of art.

Do you proofread?

Nope πŸ™‚ I’d prefer to leave that up to you and your loved ones, and I’ll stick to the design and artwork! I’ll do my best to catch anything out of place text-wise, but I focus more on the overall look and aesthetics!

How many invitations should I order?

After you count up the households you’ll be mailing to, I recommend ordering 10 extra sets, for any additional guests and keepsakes πŸ™‚

What date should I use on my RSVP cards?

1 month is most common, but you’ll want to check with your reception location or caterer to see when they need a final count. I’d suggest adding a week or 2 to follow up with the ones you haven’t heard from.

Will I get to see a printed sample of my design?

Once you’ve approved the digital proof, you can absolutely have a printed proof mailed to you for approval before ordering the final batch! They take about 7-10 business days to arrive πŸ™‚

Are rush orders available?

If my schedule permits, I can work with a rush order – you’ll just have to ask!

Do you work with international clients?

Yes, absolutely! I can work all over the globe thanks to the internet πŸ˜‰ I work with Canadian and US printers, but for countries outside of North America, I’d recommend 3-4 weeks extra to account for shipping and possible customs delays (duties and customs fees are the sole responsibility of the client).  We could also discuss the possibility of working with a printer in your area πŸ™‚
